MOURNING FOR NORBERT LOUVEN
The HUETTEMANN Group mourns the death of Norbert Louven. The long-standing managing director of M+F Spedition, which belongs to the group of companies, passed away on 22 May at the age of 54 after a short, serious illness.
Norbert Louven had been deeply rooted in the logistics industry since he began his training as a forwarding agent in 1974. Over the past 33 years, the native of Gronau had a decisive influence on the development of M+F Spedition in Nordhorn: On 1 January 1980, Norbert Louven joined M+F Spedition as an export clerk. Only three years later he took over the management of the export department. From 1987 to the end of 1989, he managed a subsidiary of M+F Spedition in Wuppertal and then returned to Nordhorn as head of the International Forwarding Department. Here he initially took over as deputy managing director in 1994 before being appointed managing director in August 1995.
He held this position until the end. At the same time, he was Managing Director of a Bulgarian subsidiary of the HUETTEMANN Group from 2008 to 2010. Furthermore, Norbert Louven has represented the interests of the group of companies at association level and in a variety of honorary activities.
“In more than 30 years for M+F Spedition, Norbert Louven has managed to build up an internationally successful network with customers, forwarding partners and shareholders,” says Klaus Hüttemann, Managing Partner. “On behalf of the entire group of companies, I am indebted to Norbert Louven for his extraordinary commitment and absolute loyalty to the company, the employees and the Hüttemann family. We will remember Norbert Louven fondly and will always cherish his memory.
