HUETTEMANN GROUP RECERTIFIED
The quality and environmental management of the HUETTEMANN Group has now been certified again. The audits in accordance with the international ISO standards 14001 and 9001 initially took place on behalf of the group of companies at four locations. In the course of the next three years, the remaining HUETTEMANN locations in Germany will follow.
This year, DEKRA took over the certifications for the first time. Their seal of approval shows: The HUETTEMANN Group has high-performance environmental and quality management systems. Standardised processes in daily operations ensure compliance with the ambitious goals.
The DEKRA audits took place at the beginning of March. The management systems at the Ladenburg, Bergisch Gladbach, Duisburg and Nordhorn sites were reviewed – among other things, using questionnaires and employee interviews. On 30 April, the Group received the certificates, which are valid retroactively for three years since 24 March. Dieter Janssen, new quality and environmental management representative at HUETTEMANN since the beginning of the year, led the recertification on the company side.
Sustainable in everyday life
“Environmental friendliness doesn’t just start with thousands of tonnes of CO2 saved,” says Dieter Janssen, “it also and especially depends on the little things.”
For example, the staff use environmentally friendly paper for printing and separate waste. Noise-reducing and energy-saving tyres are used in all vehicles. In addition, the drivers receive training on how to drive as fuel-efficiently as possible.
The HUETTEMANN Group has also developed strict internal guidelines in the area of quality management, which the employees implement. In addition, the individual locations have set themselves ambitious goals, among others for minimising the damage and complaint rate. “For us, this is not about a number on paper,” says managing partner Klaus Hüttemann. “We want quality and sustainability to be lived throughout the company.”
