Alwin Schweckhorst
Alwin Schweckhorst has been Managing Director of the Dutch Huettemann subsidiary Rabelink Logistics for more than 15 years. With more than 30 years with the company, he has accompanied and shaped the company through all phases of development. “Change never stops, that is my trigger,” Alwin Schweckhorst, born 63, about himself. “For me, the next step always has to come.”
His career confirms this sentence. Farmer, cattle farmer, truck driver – he was many things in his life before he finally joined Rabelink Logistics. After a few years behind the wheel in domestic as well as international transport, he completed his training as a logistics specialist at night school and took over the warehouse management, later the entire warehouse logistics division. In addition, he underwent various management training courses for the logistics and transport sectors. After a management buyout by founder Henk Rabelink, Alwin Schweckhorst fundamentally restructured the then unprofitable company and managed to turn it around. In 2005, he sold the company to the Huettmann Group in order to be able to continue the dynamic growth. Since then, turnover, returns, employees, fleet and locations have multiplied.
Schweckhorst has three children and lives with his wife in the Achterhoek region. In his free time, he can usually be found there on the saddle of his mountain bike.
