RABELINK TAKES OVER ACTIVITIES FROM LEUSINK LOGISTICS
Rabelink Logistics, based in Wehl, the Netherlands, has taken over the activities of Leusink Logistics. The logistics service provider from Gaanderen filed for insolvency on 18 February, and just three days later the Dutch HUETTEMANN subsidiary Rabelink was able to conclude a deal with the insolvency administrator Eef Steentjes from Juust Advocaten in Lichtenvoorde. The aim was to take over as many of Leusink’s employees and customers as possible in the process. In addition, part of the fleet will also go to Rabelink.
The work of Leusink continued as usual during the transition phase and was carried out under the responsibility of Rabelink immediately after the contract was signed. “Leusink’s customer structure and service fit very well with our portfolio,” says Rabelink managing director Alwin Schweckhorst. “Furthermore, this acquisition fits perfectly with our growth path.” Moreover, it is great that jobs can be kept in the region, says Schweckhorst. In total, 18 of Leusink’s 45 employees will find new employment at Rabelink Logistics.
Michel van de Molen, spokesman for Leusink Logistics, is also convinced by the deal. “We are very pleased that we have found a serious partner so quickly who can take on this difficult task. We are sure that our customers and employees are in good hands with Rabelink.”
