HUETTEMANN EXPANDS COMMITMENT IN ROMANIA
Duisburg/Baia Mare, 29 June 2017: Rabelink Logistics, a HUETTEMANN GROUP company, has been providing additional logistics services in Romania since May. The new company Rabelink Transport S.R.L. was also founded close to the location. It implements transport logistics solutions throughout Europe.
Pick, pack, ship: From October, HUETTEMANN subsidiary Rabelink will bundle all logistics services in Cicârlău in north-western Romania for the Dutch advertising and gift article manufacturer Xindao. Around 30 Rabelink employees will be responsible for the entire distribution logistics of the approximately 2,500 different Xindao articles to customers throughout the European Union in an area of 10,000 square metres.
Long-standing partnership
Rabelink and Xindao have been working closely together for more than 25 years. The logistics service provider already operated the distribution centre for Xindao in ‘s-Heerenberg, the Netherlands. In 2014, Xindao moved into its new distribution centre in Romania – Rabelink also took over the management here with the newly founded company Rabelink Logistics SRL. Step by step, the stock has since been moved from the Netherlands to Romania.
Now Xindao has completed the move. “Since May, we have been bundling all logistics processes in the Romanian distribution centre,” says Rabelink managing director Alwin Schweckhorst. “This involves shipping product samples for northern and western Europe and unloading, palletising and onward loading of import containers from China.” Both tasks were previously handled by Rabelink from ‘s-Heerenberg to ensure optimal transit times.
“As a logistics service provider, we also follow our long-standing customers across national borders,” says Klaus Hüttemann, managing partner of HUETTEMANN GROUP. “In addition to our commitment to the customer Xindao, we have founded a new transport company in Romania.”
New transport company at the start
HUETTEMANN has founded the new company not far from Cicârlău in Baia Mare. Rabelink Transport SRL is a transport company that handles its own loads as well as orders from sister companies of the HUETTEMANN GROUP.
“With the new company we realise Europe-wide, reliable transports. 17 of our own vehicles plus ten charter trucks are already on the road for Rabelink Transport SRL,” says Managing Director Alwin Schweckhorst. They are mainly used in international transport.
HUETTEMANN has big goals for the new company: “We want to increase the fleet to a total of 50 vehicles within the next two to three years,” explains Alwin Schweckhorst. “I am sure that we will be very successful in the market with our attractive conditions.”
