The energy transition is in full swing and we are joining in: Since 2019, all German branches of HUETTEMANN GROUP have been sourcing their electricity from renewable energy sources. This saves us around 350 tonnes of CO2 every year. During the changeover, special attention was paid to the selection of certified and TÜV-tested green electricity in order to achieve real added value for the environment: For example, the green electricity is produced by clearly identifiable hydro, wind and photovoltaic plants in Europe, one third of which are less than six years old (new plants). In this way, we are helping to drive forward the expansion of renewable energies. There is a grid connection between the areas of electricity production and consumption. The electricity produced is therefore actually fed into the “electricity lake” we use. The operators have no nuclear or coal-fired power plants in operation. In addition, all plants meet the requirements of landscape, nature and environmental protection. Last but not least, the CO2 emissions of the so-called upstream chain, which are produced during the construction of the power plants, for example, are compensated. Our green electricity is therefore one hundred percent climate-neutral.
